PowerMax Starter – Mini Inline – Chevy L6 / V8
High-torque mini starter designed for Chevrolet inline-six and V8 engines. This PowerMax starter uses a gear-reduction drive to deliver strong, reliable cranking performance while maintaining a compact inline design for improved clearance around oil pans, headers, and chassis components.
Producing approximately 180 lb-ft of torque with a 6.10:1 gear reduction, this starter is suitable for engines with compression ratios up to 11.0:1. An adjustable aluminum mounting block allows the starter to be clocked in multiple positions for optimal fitment. If a stock starter clears the oil pan, this starter typically will as well, and many applications will also clear kicked-out oil pans.
The starter is supplied with mounting bolts and shims and includes a starter dyno report.

Points-style ignition systems require Powermaster diode #600 installed from the starter to the positive side of the ignition coil.
Starter heat wraps are not recommended, as excessive heat retention can cause starter damage.
